Yong Yong advises on compliance requirements and practice issues affecting securities and financial services, and assists clients in their applications to regulators for relevant licences or exemptions in the conduct of various regulated activities. She also advises on and undertakes the listing of foreign convertible bonds, global depositary receipts and offering documents. In corporate/commercial practice, Yong Yong has acted as lead counsel in joint ventures and equity participation ventures involving multiple parties in cross-border jurisdictions, acquisitions and divestments; she advises pioneer set-ups in other jurisdictions, employment issues, transfer of technology and training, shareholders’ agreements, corporate restructuring, corporate finance, corporate syndicated loans, commercial agreements, and due diligence exercises. In addition to legal practice, Yong Yong has conducted seminars on securities regulations, company law, corporate governance and competition law. Delegates included practitioners in their fields and officials from foreign governments. Yong Yong also actively serves in various charities as board member, company secretary and/or legal advisor. She is currently the President of the Society for the Physically Disabled, and is a member of the Council of the Law Society's panel of approved Mediators and Investigative Tribunal. Yong Yong is also a member of Singapore Institute of Directors and the Singapore Insurance Institute.
