albertyeoMr Albert Yeo graduated with an LL B (Hons) Degree from the National University of Singapore in 1991. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1992. He earned his Master of Practising Accounting from Monash University in 1998.

Areas of Practice: With his diverse commercial corporate and regulatory background, Albert’s areas of practice in Goodwins Law Corporation include information technology and intellectual property agreements, licensing arrangements, lending and financing agreements, leases, banking regulatory advice, with a strong emphasis on achieving business objectives.

Experience: Following his graduation, Albert joined the practice of a respected law firm focusing on general corporate and litigation work. In 1995, he joined a local conglomerate as their Group Legal and HR. He subsequently assumed various general management roles of companies in Singapore, Malaysia and China.

In 1998, Albert joined Hewlett-Packard as the Commercial Contracts Manager. He led a team of lawyers in supporting the Sale teams in reviewing, negotiating and closing agreements with customers, partners and suppliers in bids for corporate and government projects across South East Asia, Hong Kong, India and Taiwan. As part of mobility, in 2003, Albert assumed a Human Resource role supporting the Asia Pacific senior management. In this role, he is intimately involved in all aspects of HR matters including employee engagement, compensation, training and development, succession planning, redundancy, and disciplinary actions.

In 2005, Albert joined JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. as an Assistant General Counsel and led a team of lawyers responsible for information technology sourcing, data privacy, real estate and general regulatory outsourcing and offshoring matters for the Asia Pacific. He subsequently joined one of the lines of business as the Asia Pacific Business Operations Director responsible for the risk and control. He dealt with regulators across the region and US in Know Your Customer, outsourcing, offshoring, transaction reporting and other regulatory matters. He also led projects remediating gaps in the business and chaired various governance meetings to oversee the operational and business risks.

Social Responsibility: Albert is an avid cyclist and enjoys networking with cyclists in doing business and good for society. Albert organised 6 editions of the Charity Bike n Blade to raise funds for St Luke’s Eldercare, St Luke’s Hospital, St Andrew Hospital, Beyond Social Services and Salvation Army Peacehaven. Albert is a director in International Cycling Executives Singapore (ICE). ICE is a networking platform for senior executives who are passionate cyclists.
