Ms Foo Yuk Lin graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) degree in 1985 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Republic of Singapore in 1986. Since then, she has been in active legal practice.
Yuk Lin has been appointed Commissioner for Oaths since April 1996 and qualified as a member of the Singapore International Arbitration Institute in August 1996.
She has been in active litigation practice since 1986 and went on to set up as precedent partner in Foo Chia Partnership in 1998. By 2009, she formed Foo Kwok LLC and provided service to several major motor insurers. Over her 34 years of practice in the Singapore courts, she has routinely handled thousands of cases covering the fields of contract, tort, commercial law, family law & probate, construction law and arbitration. Her cases have been reported regularly in the Singapore law reports.
Presently Yuk Lin specialises in motor/personal injury litigation as well as civil litigation.
Her other areas of expertise cover non-marine insurance matters such as fidelity guarantees, performance bonds, fire polices, public liability policies, and all-risks policies.
Yuk Lin serves as Honorary Legal Advisor to the Nanyang Hwu Clan General Association and Eng Teng Association for many years.
