Goodwins COO Noel was invited to an exclusive Forum organised by the Economist Intelligence Corporate Network, part of The Economist. The topic of focus was on ‘The Risks and Opportunities of Artificial Intelligence’. Since the release of ChatGPT, there has been a strong wave of interest surrounding AI, and especially heightened interest in the legal regulations around AI.
Here at Goodwins Law Corporation, we have a niche area of practice in AI Law. Helmed by our Chairman, Dr Toh See Kiat, who is very experienced in the areas of Technology and Intellectual Property Law. Recently, Dr Toh contributed a chapter on ‘Governance of AI through Legislation’ to the book titled ‘Will AI Dictate the Future’. Alongside other leading experts in their fields, this invaluable book provides a clear, comprehensive and authoritative look at how AI, when managed wisely, can change the world for the better. The book was launched back in 2022, with the Guest-of-Honour being The Honourable Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information.
